		Paignton is at the centre of the English Riviera with Torquay and Brixham on either side. It is a friendly family style resort with the beaches of Preston and Paignton within easy walk of the town centre.

A walk along the coast will bring you to Goodrington beach with it's lovely park, pub, shops and waterslides complex. You can also take part in watersports here.

Paignton has a good selection of shops, restaurants, cafes take-aways, and amusement arcades. A stroll through the town takes you to the seafront and the lovely Green, where the old Festival Theatre has been transformed into a multiplex cinema and the newly refurbished pier has plenty to offer in the way of amusements as well as stunning view of the bay at the end.

A walk along the seafront will get you to Paignton harbour where you can get boat trips to Torquay, Brixham or around the coast to observe the numerous wildlife off the coast .Dolphins have also been known to be regular visitors to bay in the summer months.

Fishing trips can also be booked at the harbour as well as diving lessons or trips for the more experienced. Watersports equipment, clothing, and boating accessories can also be purchased here as well as repairs and spares for your boat.

There are also a number of shops and places to eat along the way back into Paignton where you will find Europes oldest cinema owned by the Dart Valley Steam Railway . Next door you can hop aboard a steam train for a trip along the coast to Kingswear where a short ferry crossing will take you to historic Dartmouth.

Paignton Harbour

Oldway mansion off the Torquay Rd is a beautiful place to visit, originally built for the Singer (sewing machine) family it now houses the local registry offices A walk around and inside this beautiful mansion confirms it's status as "The Little Versailles".
Further on towards Brixham is Broadsands with it's large sandy cove, take a short stroll along the fields and you arrive at Elbury cove, from here you can also walk around the coast path to Fishcombe and then Brixham where you can catch the ferry or bus back to Paignton.
